Our Mission

Strong Families, Healthy Children & Caring Communities

The Graham County Family Resource Center is a community based family support program with the goal of strengthening families and communities through advocacy, empowerment, education and respect for self and others.

Families are about spending time with your children and teaching them right from wrong from the time they are born.

What is a Family Resource Center?

A family resource center is a place to go to find out resources in the community that can help you and your family. Resources include educational materials, parenting classes, special needs information, support groups, outreach community groups, information and referrals to agencies, and a place to come to just check out your email. We have computers for anyone to use, internet access, a place to have meetings, and a place to bring your children where you can spend time together. We are here to help people find what they need to take care of their families the best way they can. And also during the year we collaborate with other agencies to offer fun activities for the family to enjoy that is FREE of charge. If you would like to volunteer time or donate any materials to the Family Resource Center, please call: 828-479-2348.

Graham County Family Resource Center is funded by:  Family Support/FRC/Respite Grant through NC DSS & Graham County Schools

FRC Activities are determined by the Graham County Family Resource Center Advisory Board (composed of community and agency members).
